Blog Revamp

One thing I have been pondering is how to get more visits to the blog. To that end, I decided I need to be a bit more structured than I am right now. To that end, I’ll be posting certain types of content on different days of the week. I haven’t got the entire matrix filled in, I don’t have any weekend themes yet but they will come.

Here’s what I have so far, and I’ll be starting this tomorrow.

Monday Status Report – Last year, as I was working on novels, I would post a progress report every Monday. I’m going to go back to that, but also any news I have in other areas of my writing will be posted on Mondays as well. So, if you want to know what’s going on with my work, Monday is the day to stop by.

Tuesday Tips – I’ve been writing for a long time and I’ve learned a little in that time. I’ll be posting writing tips about things that have worked for me, things I have picked up along the way, and advice I have received from other writers.

Writer Wednesday – I was interviewing interesting authors last year and I want to get back to doing that. I still have a long list of names of writers who expressed interest last year. If you are a writer and are interested in being interviewed for Wednesday Writer, shoot me an email.

Thursday Thoughts – Thursday is all about becoming a better person. I’ll share thoughts and ideas about that, and might have an occasional guest post, as well.

Fish Friday – As you probably know, I am an avid aquarist and freshwater fish enthusiast. I’ll share some tips, information aobut keeping fish, show pictures, and sometimes just talk about what my fishes are doing.

As I said, Saturday and Sunday are still open, though I will probably do something along the line of the Jeopardy Potpourri category, covering topics not covered during the work week.

Also, if you haven’t noticed yet, I added a way to follow the blog and have it emailed to you. Just look at the top of the right column and follow instructions.
