Monday Status Report – 9/9/13

I completed two short stories in the past week. One is about a scientific mission to a collision between two neutron stars – something I call a maelstrom. The other was intended to be for Neil Clarke’s Cyborg anthology, but the word count ended up being outside the guidelines. I have an idea for another cyborg story for that anthology, so back to the keyboard for me.

Both new stories have been submitted to their first market in a search for a home.

I expect to see some feedback for A Darkling Nine in the near future. I’d like to get an agent search for that one underway before Q4. Proxima Centauri, the sequel to Rigel Kentaurus, has a couple thousand words down, but I’m not prioritizing that at the moment. I’m still in process of injecting some new material into the short fiction inventory.

On the business side, I finished the first draft of a trade journal article for a client.
