It appears there is a new meme called “Did I Notice Your Book” floating around the web, apparent started by Ciara Knight who writes paranormal and fantasy fiction.
My book was noticed by Rusty Webb on his blog The Blutonian Death Egg.
I had never heard of either of these writers until this evening. It was the second cool thing that I experienced today. A couple of hours before I found this blog post, I participated in a ceremony to retire a tattered flag that flew for 9 days and 11 hours over Baghram Airbase in Iraq.
When I say retire, I mean correctly and respectfully destroy. It is a service that the Boy Scouts of America performs. Most people don’t know that. If you have a damaged American flag that needs to be correctly disposed of, get it to the scouts.
Anyway, back to the book. I want to thank Rusty Webb for selecting my novel for his contribution to the meme. This is the kind of thing that starts virtual friendships. I have formed a lot of bonds over the past few years because of interaction in social media. It’s one of the cool things about living in the 21st century.
