Every once in a while, something needs to change. This website had been using the same WordPress template for over 4 years, and in all that time I never saw an update.
The template worked fine. Eric James Stone did a little bit of customizing for me early on, but for the most part I did everything myself.
I recently bought a newsletter application and installed it, but it wouldn’t work. Support said the template was not standard. Maybe it was standard 4 years ago, but not anymore. So, a change thrust upon me.
I finished it up last night, and I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. There are a few details I want to change, for instance, the header text isn’t quite doing what I want it to do and I need to link the slider book covers someplace to let people know where to get the book.
And, I now have the newsletter plugin up and running, so if you have any interest in my fiction, sign up. The link is in a couple of places, but easiest to find is probably the sidebar, though it is also under the NEWS menu item.
