I started my blog on December 9th, 2005. It started on Blogger and remained there until February 15, 2010, when I converted to WordPress and moved the blog to my homepage.
All this time, the blog was called “Frothing at the Mouth” and my website was called “Entropy Central.” I like having separate names for the website and the blog, and James Maxey once posted that he wished he thought of the name “Frothing at the Mouth” for a blog.
Problem is, WordPress does not have a good way to keep the names separate other than creating a subdomain and using two complete WordPress installations. That’s a hassle I just don’t want to bother with.
Since moving to WordPress, I called the website “Entropy Central” and for the blog, I used “Frothing at the Mouth” as the link to the blog in the menu. As I feared, that didn’t really do the trick and now, pretty much everyone calls the blog “Entropy Central.”
So, I have decided to officially retire the name “Frothing at the Mouth,” so James, the name is available (although the old Blogger site remains live). Henceforth, everything is Entropy Central. And, I’ll be changing that menu to simply read “Blog.” read “Entropy Central.”
