Busy is Good

The blog posts have been sparse lately, and I apologize for that. Parents visiting, client work, kids starting school, college freshman to move. Lots of activity to keep me away from the blog.

Being busy is good, but sometimes it can be frustrating. I get behind on what I want to post to the blog. I haven’t touched a short story in a week, and I had hoped it would be done by now. (Going to work on it as soon as I’m done here.)

I have a lot of things to talk about in the near future. There’s the MIM and the Stanley Jordan concert. There’s the senseless sport killing of an Australian in Oklahoma. There’s the ignorant rant on purple paper by somebody without any sense of right and wrong–if you’re on Facebook, you’ve seen it. There’s no shortage of things to talk about. I also have sets of questions I owe three writers for interviews.

I’m still settling into this whole full time writer thing. Now that I actually have work to do, it gets harder to fit in the other activity because my clients have to come first. Novels to write, short stories to finish, and blog posts to create. I’ll settle into a routine eventually, but until then, I continue to juggle all the balls, trying not to drop any.
