What, you thought this was about heading to the VFW on Friday evening? Nah, just an update on the hatching activity in my fishroom.
+ Poecilia wingei (Endler’s livebearer, peacock strain) Three new fry swimming around with the adults. Nice to see this colony starting to recover a bit.
+ Oryzias wawarae One fry hatched sometime in the past 24 hours from an egg I nearly gave up on.
+ Aplocheilichthys Normani Three eggs harvested have all hatched. Three fry alive living off their yolk sac for the time being.
+ Hypsolebia fulminetus Peat was placed into a pint of water yesterday. There is some motion of the peat, but it’s not yet clear whether this is from very small fry or from the microworms I added as food.
