IN March, Angry Robot books had an open call for manuscripts. I debated whether to submit or to go ahead with plans already in place to go indie with this book. I reluctantly submitted, hoping for a quick resolution, and secretly hoping that they would not be interested.
Turns out, that is exactly what happened. While the book was on submission, I did another major edit which I finished a couple of days ago. I was filling out the EPUB template on the fly, so I’m really very close to being ready to convert.
The result of all this is that I plan to go indie with this novel by July 4th. The main hang-up is cover art. I haven’t decided what to do about that yet. I am also officially announcing my intention to podcast this as an audio book in serial form.
Lots of plans to complete, lots of work to do, but the novel will see the light of day soon.
