New Camera – Finally Decent Fish Pictures to Show

After several years of not having a decent digital camera after somebody dropped my last one on the lens while it was extended, I finally bought a new one today during my trip to Costco.

I bought the Canon PowerShot ELPH 100HS to let me limp along until I can get a decent SLR. I thought I’d break it in by sharing some decent photos of some of my fish with you. The camera does a decent job, though it still struggles with small and fast animals like my Endler’s livebearers.

Dario dario, sometimes called the scarlet badis. Only about an inch long.

Another picture of Dario dario, this time hiding in the java moss.

Freshwater angelfish - Blushing Smokey coloration.

Freshwater angelfish - Half-black variety

I’ll try to post pictures of these guys and my other fish now that I have a half-way decent camera.
