The family and I just returned from a 4-day stay in Oceanside California. It’s a lovely place with all the good things about southern California, but with a small town feel. Pretty much everyone in the family wants to move there.
I managed to beat my target word count on the novel in progress 3 of 4 days. I only hit about 750 words after the drive, but we arrived late and I just didn’t have the energy to finish before midnight. Beat the target the other three days and made up about 450 words on Tuesday’s miss. (I need to get cracking or I’ll miss today, too!)
We had a lovely visit to the Birch Aquarium at Scripps (SDSU) and I bought a great jacket for outdoor field work. In Phoenix, I’ll probably be able to wear it again in December.
